## Subject
### Flood Impact Inspection and System Status Analysis
## Summary of Activities
### Arrival and Initial Observations
Upon arrival at the Chanel store, we were greeted by Jessica and her colleague, who presented us with video footage of the flooded floor. They directed us to the server rack where the alarm system and CCTV system are set up.
### Equipment Inspection
We thoroughly inspected all equipment in the server rack, especially those close to the floor where water damage was possible. No visual water damage or non-functional devices were found in the rack.
### UPS System Status
The APC UPS system displayed a battery warning, indicating that the battery is at the end of its life. We took pictures documenting the model number, serial number, part numbers, and various other details of the UPS system.
### CCTV System Issue
From Vibi's office PC, we logged into the CCTV system and identified that one camera named "Shoe Dept Entrance 2" was not connected to the server. Despite troubleshooting efforts such as unplugging and re-plugging the cable in the patch panel and Cisco switch, the camera remained undiscoverable in the system setup.
### Consultation with Rui
Following a discussion with Rui, a video call was initiated to give him a visual of the systems and to check the alarm system panel located behind a door in the server rack. Upon inspection, all systems appeared to be operational.
### Battery Documentation and Alarm Panel Check
We documented the batteries which had a handwritten date "October 2022," presumably the installation or replacement date. The alarm panel on the wall indicated an "enclosure of the server rack is open" error. Despite ensuring the breaker switch pressed by the door was locked, the error persisted.
### Clock Issue on Alarm Panel
We identified that the clock time on the alarm system's wall panel was incorrect, although the date and day were accurate.
### Camera Image Quality
Vibi mentioned that some cameras produced excessively dark images. Adjustments were made to the display settings, which improved but did not entirely resolve the issue. We suggested a potential system upgrade for better image clarity.
### Access Control System
We verified that all three doors were accessible using Vibi's access control card.
## Flood Details
The flooding was caused by a ruptured pipe in the water filter system at the back of the store, affecting primarily the floor area. None of the sprinklers activated, preventing additional damage.
## Recommendations
- **Camera System Upgrade:** For better image quality and clarity.
- **Alarm Notification System:** Enabling motion alerts from cameras on Vibi’s phone application.
- **Alarm Panel Clock Adjustment:** Correct the time on the alarm system wall panel.
## Conclusion
No water damage or malfunction was observed in the alarm and CCTV systems post-flood. The systems are operational, but some improvements and updates are recommended for better performance and monitoring.
