Origin

When Stable Diffusion launched, Andrei began cataloging the flood of image tools, shipping a 600+ entry collection at diffusiondb.com.

It was clear people needed a broader, maintained map of all AI tools, so TAAFT launched in December 2022, and hit 100k visits in week one.

The approach stayed the same: manual vetting, clear labeling, and relentless pruning to keep results useful.

1. Sourcing: We discover tools through maker submissions, community tips, and active monitoring of launches and research feeds.
2. Vetting: Our human reviewers check for functionality, accuracy of claims, pricing clarity, safety, and duplicates. No hype, no vaporware.

4. Upkeep: We routinely re-test links, refresh descriptions, and retire defunct tools.
