Migaku
Overview
Migaku is a Chrome web extension designed to assist in language learning. The primary methodology of the tool is turning favorite websites into effective learning materials.
It supports various languages, including Spanish, Chinese, English, German, Korean, Japanese, among others. The tool's main functionalities include enabling users to watch and read content on popular websites in their preferred foreign language, thereby amplifying learning through practical application.
Users can click on words in websites and subtitles to look up definitions, pronunciations, images, and AI-generated explanations of words in context. Another functionality worth noting is its ability to create customized learning materials, like flashcards directly from the content that interests users.
Furthermore, the tool also incorporates a Spaced Repetition System (SRS) approach, allowing users to review their flashcards at regular intervals to solidify their memory retention.
Moreover, Migaku tracks the words you learn and generates a comprehension score for the content viewed to enable the user to select appropriate learning materials.
The Migaku team consists of successful language learners who have used the tool to learn languages from native content.

g k🙏 23 karmaJun 30, 2025@AvatalksThis is hands-down the most engaging language app I’ve ever used. The AI conversations feel real, and the talking avatar makes it fun to practice speaking without anxiety.

I tried a chat section. It's pretty cool, I used another company that's very similar to yours but it didn't recognize speech nearly as well as yours does. The only negative feedback I have for you is the web app seems a little bit buggy on my phone sometimes when you click to hold down for speech it doesn't work very well you have to try it a couple times. I like it though I'm going to try it again.

The app looks interesting, but it's not free. The free version is very limited, and the premium version seems expensive, although it may be worth it.

I have used Praktika and I have loved this app

Useful tool which I’ve enjoyed but it doesn’t notify you of free trial expiring like it said it would, so it just took my money 😅 but I’ll continue using it and see if my languages improve.
