About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Assistant (TA) to the Vice President of AI Foundations and Commercialization within the Lockheed Martin AI Center (LAIC). As a TA, you will provide guidance, expertise, and support to the VP and Director(s) within the AI Foundations and Commercialization organization, working on technology project management, technical strategy, analysis, planning, and communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.

Considered an emerging authority in your field, with a strong desire to work with senior leadership and contribute to.


Basic Qualifications:

A strong and broad technical background in multiple high-tech, defense-related fields.

Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the technical, management, and customer chains of command.

Strong organization and project management skills.

Experience interacting with senior leaders in Lockheed Martin, government, and international organizations.

Excellent written, verbal, and briefing/presentation communications skills.

Ability to work alone with minimal supervision, under time pressure, and in teams to deliver superior-quality results.


Desired Skills:

Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) field, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Self-motivated full-spectrum individual with a strong desire to demonstrate outstanding performance in all assignments.

Experience with customers and strong customer relationship skills.

Ability to perform research and analysis and present findings.

Agile mindset that can operate from strategic to tactical technologies.

Familiarity with commercial software sales and Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives.

Responsibilities

Working with the Vice President and LAIC leadership, participating in and supporting key cross-corporation initiatives within the greater T&SI organization, and working closely with EBDT to ensure alignment across the organization.

Collecting and analyzing metrics, working with LAIC senior leadership, maintaining and executing business rhythms for the organization, including monthly operating reviews, quarterly reviews, leadership offsites, and all-hands meetings, technology partner meetings, and customer meetings.

Supporting deliverables, presentations, and actions required from the Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO) and Technology and Strategic Innovation (T&SI) groups, including business rhythms, monthly financial reviews, and quarterly review preparation.

Building and maintaining briefings to be presented to LM executives and employees, as well as various levels of external customers, industry, and academic partners.

Supporting business rhythms and deliverables associated with Astris AI and external partnerships.

Integrating and editing weekly situation reports (SITREPs) with inputs from directors and staff for submission.

Working closely with the VP's executive administrative assistant (EA) to manage calendar planning, pre-read and prep materials for external meetings, and logistics planning for internal business rhythms and meetings.

Participating in meetings as directed by the Vice President, recording minutes, tracking action items, establishing deadlines for follow-up, and ensuring closure in coordination with leadership and staff.

Working closely with other CDAO and T&SI organization technical assistants and EAs to ensure strong working relationships, schedule coordination, and timely completion of staff action items.

Coordinating planning, organization, and completion of projects within the area of assigned responsibility.

Facilitating cross-business area coordination for key projects and initiatives.

Travel will be required for key meetings and conferences in support of the VP as required.
