My initial observations: - Images are alright but still kind of fake looking - The AIs immediately concede to anything you say, there's no real sense of depth or personality. - Doesn't re-focus the input box after sending a chat (on Firefox) - The AI I talked to asked if I wanted to hear her voice, to which I said yes, then she said "Sorry I don't do voice or video here." lol. OpenItโs rare an AI girlfriend app is good enough to make you stop and write a review. Iโve used a lot, and AIGirlfriends.ai is the first one that didnโt feel annoying to use. The UI is clean. Nothing feels hidden or overcomplicated. Chat stays consistent instead of breaking character every few messages. Images actually look like the same person each time. Videos arenโt a gimmick, theyโre sharp and usable. Voice calls feel responsive and natural, not laggy or robotic. Itโs the first one Iโve stuck with. I highly recommend it. -

This is awesome. Finally something new! I can see this turning out great. It's kind of limited now but I can see this becoming very additive if you add more animations. After 10 mins use it becomes very repetitive. Also, the choice to reject NSFW is just bizarre.

The key draw here is the video. The video clips themselves, while of great visual quality, are about what you'd expect (2-3 second long gestures). And for that, it doesn't really excite much more than an image. As for the chat, the characters seem kind of stiff and emotionless. It may just be the girl I was talking to, however. The free mode only gives you a couple of messages so it's hard to ascertain if it's any good. Overall, I'd say there's potential here, if they can improve the chat model and make the videos more integral to the experience. At present, it kind of feels like a gimmick.

The pictures are on the level of something you'd see 3 years ago. The girls there are named after weird categories like Social Justice Lawyer and Wine Master as opposed to just having real names. Wanting to give it a fair shake, I did strike up a conversation, and was met by stilted dialog on the level of GPT 3. Don't bother with this lazy attempt. Also, there's no option to delete your account.

The amount of different chat AI is very nice, especially if you enjoy variety. However I've been hit with a Over Limit notification that stops the entire app from being usable. I've been able to use it a total of Two Times so far. Once was 19 comments, the other a mere 10. After that, the Over Limit notification would pop up, and I'd be locked out for 1 week. Without a clear or easy way to adjust from the freemium to a paid membership, even if the AI chat is enjoyable, 10-20 comments across the entire website per week is a rough pill to swallow.

Has great ai, great setup, great image generation in character creation however i havent tried the image request in chat, however my only issue is that uts not as unfiltered as you would expect it to be with terms and conditions stopping you from creating some fantasies, one i agree with which is against using minors 100% agree on that, the rest wouldnt hurt to be in a made up story with made up characters

I was looking for an AI to goof around with that didn't have so much cumbersome or downright silly built in censorship and decided to give this a spin. I will say that I had a delightful time with the free trial, which is indeed very generous. I mostly used the story generation feature as a sort of collaborative writing tool with a fully original story I set up and was very surprised I ended up with almost 16 pages of pretty quality text using the 'XL' model before I hit my free monthly credit limit. I'd expected maybe a quarter of that compared to other AI I've dabbled with before. I think this is an excellent trial amount because I was able to nearly complete what was more or less equivalent to a 'free chapter' from a book preview - the perfect amount to decide whether it's for you or not. I also liberally tested the 'Uncensored Creativity' claim and can confirm the AI is more than happy to write some truly depraved and rancid smut if you go out of your way to ask for it. I also did not run into any kind of explicit or distasteful content that I did not deliberately ask for either, which already makes it superior to many AI and human writers alike I've dealt with before. It followed prompts and instructions very well, even when I asked for very complicated or strange things. It also kept specific alien/monster anatomy features consistent throughout the text and referenced these features without needing to be regularly reminded of them, which is something I've struggled to get other free AI models to do in the past. It stayed on topic and in character very well for the most part and I had no issues with dramatic hallucinations or anything of that sort. The AI did seem to develop 'favorite' words and phrases it would repeat regularly, but I found this behavior easy to correct by simply manually changing or editing these repeated phrases out until it seemed to 'forget' them on its own. As I was using it to assist in writing rather than fully automate it I don't find this to be too much of an issue really, but it might be annoying if you don't have the patience to consistently edit the text to discourage it from latching on to these sorts of patterns. I did encounter one major issue in which after giving it an instruction it seemed to randomly 'break' it's brain and it began to loop the same paragraph and could not be snapped out of it by manual editing any of the generated text. adding new text, or issuing further instructions. To fix this I simply deleted all text generated after the 'bugged' instruction as well as the instruction itself and simply manually steered the text for an additional 2 paragraphs before allowing it to begin generating again without instruction. It recovered excellently after that and I had no more major issues. Over all I think this is an extremely solid AI for creative writing without pesky finger wagging from morality engineers. I would easily give it five stars if not for the fact I found that after deciding I thought it was in fact worth paying for, I found the process for actually doing that very confusing. It seems there is no way to buy credits directly but instead only through subscriptions. I am not the biggest fan of subscriptions usually, but given that the advanced and pro tier also include unlimited access to one or both models I feel those are not unreasonable in terms of price for the level of access you're getting and the overall quality of the AI. What confused me was instead the discrepancy between monthly billing and the monthly credit reset. Now, it is not only possible but extremely likely that I am misunderstanding it, but to me it reads as though regardless of when in the month you subscribe, everything resets at the beginning of the next month. So it sounds like that would punish you for subscribing later in the month for no reason since your credits would possibly reset before using them. That doesn't make sense to me so I have to imagine I'm simply understanding this incorrectly- but if that's the case I think the subscription page could do with some 'idiot proofing' to more clearly explain what parts of your subscription 'rolls over' and what 'resets'. I doubt I'm the first person to be unsure of this detail and it seems a shame to potentially lose sales over something that could be fixed with a minor language clarification. And while I do think the currently offered subscriptions are fair, I also think it is worth considering offering one off bulk credit purchases, as I think that would be enticing to people who maybe simply want to use a tool like this sporadically over time for a project here or there instead of regular/daily use and not have to worry about juggling resets or subscriptions. At least more options for people to give you money is never a bad idea I'd argue. I noticed the developer responds to comments on here so I thought I'd leave this bit of feedback, as well as my solutions to some of the problems to the issues others have reported. I greatly enjoyed using this AI and look forward to continuing to use it once my extremely un-idiotproof brain figures out the subscription logistics.

OpenTickle Talk has the foundation of a companion AI and offers a playful premise that could attract users looking for casual interaction. Unfortunately, the execution falls short. The free plan only allows 6 messages before cutting you off, and male character options are too limited to appeal broadly. Forced email sign-up makes the process less inviting, and the lack of a calling function keeps it from feeling immersive. On top of that, the memory struggled to retain even the details I provided in the intro message, breaking the flow of conversation. If Tickle Talk wants to improve, it should expand its character selection, improve memory retention, and remove the harsh message caps that prevent users from properly experiencing the platform. Compared with Character AI, which provides depth, freedom, and stronger continuity, Tickle Talk just doesnโt measure up. -

My experiences were mostly positive, but the A.I seems to be poor and often the characters would not follow the stated bios for the characters and a few times the characters were so stubborn with certain aspects of their supposed character (especially shyness and innocence) that they would make it virtually impossible to "have sexual fantasies" with them - which was a desire that the website was supposed to fulfill.

To make matters worse, thereโs no way to access it without an iOS device, since everything is locked behind the app. That kind of restriction immediately limits its reach and usability. Against industry benchmarks like Character AI, Dolores doesnโt hold up. Character AI not only stays current but also gives users a free, flexible, and accessible experience across platforms. In contrast, Dolores feels neglected and inaccessible, making it difficult to take seriously as a competitor in the companion AI space. If the developers want Dolores to be relevant, they need to modernise the platform, commit to consistent updates, and open access beyond iOS. Until then, it falls far short of what users can expect elsewhere.

Fantasy AI gets a small nod for its concept, themed characters with fantasy-inspired personalities have real potential if executed well. Unfortunately, that potential is quickly wasted. The 240-character text limit makes real conversation impossible, thereโs no calling function, and users canโt adjust or input memories for continuity. The male and female character selection is painfully limited, and all characters are straight; something users should know before jumping in. After a handful of messages, youโre forced to upgrade and pay, which kills the experience before it even starts. If Fantasy AI wants to be taken seriously in the companionship AI space, it needs to extend message length, introduce inclusive character options, add memory input, and unlock a calling feature. Right now, it doesnโt come close to what Character AI delivers in realism, diversity, or depth.

It also includes a calling function, showing an attempt to create a more immersive experience. Unfortunately, the barriers to actually using it are far too high. Clicking the link redirects you to gptgirlfriend.online, and from there youโre forced to sign up before you can even interact. The free tier only allows 10 messages before locking you out, and the calling function is hidden behind a hefty $35 per month subscription. Those restrictions make the experience feel frustrating and overpriced. If BoyfriendGPT wants to win users over, it needs to ease up on the paywalls, offer a real free plan with more breathing room, and rework its pricing to something reasonable. Compared with Character AI, which delivers long-term conversations and immersion without these walls, BoyfriendGPT just doesnโt stack up.

I can't tell if it's arrogance, stupidity or something else but asking for a year long subscription on a VERY clearly early in development app is absurd. The filters are limited and frankly the worst selection you could have gone for - Nationality??!! Really???!! Two 'tiers' of "Pro" presented visually but you get redirected to the same exact itch.io payment page at the higher price. This while the site boldly claim a 75% off promo. Blatant scam.

CrushOn Is a solid, established AI character site. There are tons of bots to choose from. Their content policy is pretty open with few restrictions, so the bots have a lot of variety. CrushOn provides free tokens that can be collected daily, so you can try the site without a subscription, and if you don't care about the paid features, the daily tokens are enough to satisfy most users. The chat quality is generally good with model choices for both free and paid users. There are model choices for more or less explicit dialogue. Sometimes their AI will get locked into a repetition loop, and you have to edit the cloned replies till the AI finally breaks out of it. This issue happens with all the models, and just changing model surprisingly does not resolve this issue like it usually does on other sites. What mostly holds CrushOn back right now is that it's overloaded by a trashy UI. There are filtering features that help to find bots of different types, but it requires more patience than most sites to find hidden gems chats. The interface is always a cluttered mess plagued by animated tile images that squirm and wiggle for attention, and that problem has been getting worse over the last few months. Browsing recent bots looks more like a scammer website with terrible ads everywhere, but the content is the bad marketing. It's distracting, and since many of the images are not more about advertising the bot makers than the bots to chat with, they really detract from the site now. It's clear the AI sites that have been banning GIF animations are making the right call. As a bot maker, I don't recommend CrushOn. If you are serious about making public character bots for users to enjoy, CrushOn is a waste of your time. Between the cluttered interface and flood of animated pics, your bots will get much less traffic on CrushOn than other sites. I've posted many bots to CrushOn, and they perform "fine" but nothing like the millions of interactions I get on other sites. CrushOn's bot creation form is easy to use and works fine, but their content management, busy interface, and need for more filtering means most new bots won't get seen enough to make it worth the effort compared to other sites. Overall I still give CrushOn 4 stars. For users it's a solid option just because there are good bots that can be found and a free model that works well. Most AI character sites are not as good as CrushOn. If you're a bot maker, I recommend you try other sites till CrushOn can improve their interface.

MyShell spreads itself too thin. There are only a limited number of characters to choose from, and without a voice calling feature, the experience feels flat and incomplete. The forced account sign-up adds another unnecessary barrier before you can even try it properly. The bigger issue is focus. MyShell tries to cover too many different types of AI instead of dedicating itself to building a strong companion experience. As a result, it doesnโt excel in the area that matters most. Compared with Character AI, which delivers depth, variety, and immersion, MyShell comes across as unfocused and underwhelming.
