voyage-multilingual-2 is a text embedding model built for multilingual retrieval and retrieval-augmented generation across 27 languages, including English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Bengali, Portuguese, and Russian. Evaluated on 85+ datasets, it outperforms OpenAI text-embedding-3-large and Cohere multilingual v3 by 5.6% on average, and maintains strong English performance unlike some competing multilingual models. It features a 32K token context window and produces 1024-dimensional embedding vectors. Accessible via the Voyage AI API; can be substituted into existing Voyage API integrations by setting the model parameter to voyage-multilingual-2.
