Mentalyc has been a very useful addition to my workflow as a mental health provider. Writing therapy progress notes used to take a significant amount of time after each session, but using Mentalyc to generate structured drafts from session recordings has helped reduce that burden. The notes it generates are organized and clinically meaningful, especially in formats like SOAP and DAP. It highlights important elements such as presenting issues, interventions, and client engagement, which makes it easier to review and finalize documentation efficiently. I also appreciate that it supports staying compliant with documentation standards while reducing mental load and burnout related to admin tasks. It doesn’t replace clinical judgment, but it does make the documentation process smoother and more consistent. For therapists looking for an AI-powered note writing assistant, Mentalyc is definitely worth exploring.

We built this for us, and if other people want to use it, so be it, but I’m not going to try and sell on why one should use or buy it. Judging by the sign-ups and upgrades, it looks like more people are finding it useful. You are right about #1 and that line does sound a bit dishonest and salesy - which was unintentional so I’m changing that. It was very real though and we carefully baked in tiny little details for our upgraded users. For eg, we have invited most of our upgraded users to try the mobile apps’ TestFlight version.

This is a nice concept. Anyway app needs to be more polished. Can’t delete notes. I was expecting auto assign of topics, or at least suggestions to be more creative instead of just showing some random words from the text I’ve entered.
