GetTheGists๐ ๏ธ 1 tool ๐ 1 karmaMay 13, 2026@GetTheGistsThis started from a small frustration that wouldn't go away: I'd open 12 tabs for "research," skim none of them properly, and close my laptop feeling more behind than when I started. The web rewards reading speed, not reading depth โ and I wanted a tool that flipped that. So I built GetTheGists: a Chrome extension that gives you the gist of any page in 3 seconds, then lets you ask follow-up questions like you would a smart friend who already read it. A few things we went out of our way to get right: - Cognitive hierarchy, not walls of text. Every summary is structured as Gist โ Why It Matters โ Key Takeaways โ Implications. Compression before precision. - Ask, don't just read. Hit the page with follow-ups, get answers grounded in the content. - 20 languages, full dark mode, and a resizable side panel that actually respects your screen. What surprised me building this: the hardest part wasn't the AI โ it was deciding what not to show. Every iteration was about removing a section, not adding one. It's free to try (Premium and Pro tiers if you want higher limits). I'd love your honest feedback โ especially on the summary format and where it falls short on your favorite kind of page. I'll be in the comments all day. Thank you for taking a look ๐ -

the founder is cool, definitely a recommendation if you have personal requests and grow the app along with you.

Iโve been using it to make demo tracks before recording real vocals. Saves a lot of time during brainstorming.

I'm giving it two stars because it does do an ok job on videos but I would NOT recommend this. The "free trial" gives you 80 credits. It's not even enough to make a 60 second video so you can't really "trial" anything. I then spent $35 to make a 60 second video and I did two edits to it and I only have 451 credits left for the month. Until the costs come down, this is not feasible.

Just tried the tool and printed my first 3D model, and Iโm honestly surprised by how good it came out. It was super easy to use, and the final print matched my reference image perfectly. Congrats to the Mimetic Labs team for building such a simple but super cool tool.

Hey Michael ๐ Thanks for the honest feedback , and I totally understand where you're coming from. We recently added the tutorial to help new users understand the app quickly, but we hear you , weโll look into making it optional. Also, just to clarify: we do offer a free plan! You should be able to create and preview documents without paying. If you ran into any issues, please reach out to us at [email protected] , weโd be happy to give you extra free credits and make things right. Weโd love the chance to turn that 2โญ๏ธ into a 5โญ๏ธ , and your input helps us get better. Appreciate you giving it a shot! Best, The Writedoc.ai Team

Displayr has become an essential tool for survey data analysis. By leveraging advanced AI integration, the platform offers a user-friendly, low-code solution for analyzing survey data. Users can efficiently create presentations while working on data analysis within the same interface, eliminating the hassle of transferring numbers from Excel to PowerPoint.

Been using it for the past few days and it is exactly what I hoped it was. Nothing complicated, does exactly what it says it does without the fluff. The analysis section is great, does not produce canned summaries. It appears to be doing something different for every different type of topic, which is great. Still playing with it.

Really simple approach - you select the part of the page you want the summary to be inserted, add a question to the article or it just sticks to the prompt you defined (even the standard prompt is a fun inspiration - never thought about letting the AI read an article from the angle of my professional background or let it build fun analogies for even the darkest articles). I use it to send articles from website directly to my Kindle - so you can basically read AI summarized articles on Kindle. Of course it could be extended but with the basic features it does the job.

It seems to be working fine right now. Maybe try again and double check if youโre using the bookโs original or most recognized title. That might make a difference.

its a language simulator but it comes up in text editor results. it only reveals its not an editor after we create an account. the creator has no integrity

Neat concept. But I'm not really working yet. Especiallafter the 2.0 release But most of all, there was no response from developers.

Teams use text shortcuts, but without clear impact on pipeline metrics that tool becomes a cost center โ usually drops enterprise conversions by ~15โ25% vs solutions tied to revenue outcomes. Are buyers asking how you move the needle on revenue, or just โdoes this save typingโ?
