Refrain from using additional tokens. Instead, utilize your own OPENAI API. Upon introducing it, display an “unexpected error retry” message. I attempted using a different API, but the error persisted.

However, we’re working on a way to allow free users more stories and more continuations, and once it’s ready we can award your account with free credits to try it out! interesting concept, but it still needs quite a bit of refinement. i get that interpreting vague or simple prompts can be tricky for the ai, but for this to really work as a game creation tool, it needs more control, better clarity in execution and tighter results overall. definitely has potential, but not quite there yet.

DreamTavern does at least give users some room to try the service out, with 75 free daily messages before hitting the subscription wall. That’s more generous than many competitors. But the cracks show quickly. There’s no calling function, and the subscription model $9.99 per month for unlimited messages—feels too barebones for the price. The platform also lacks proper tagging for models, making discovery awkward, and the limited male variety makes it feel unbalanced for users seeking more options. To improve, DreamTavern should expand its male character selection, refine its model tagging, and add immersive features like calling. Compared with Character AI, which offers depth, diversity, and memory, DreamTavern still feels half-baked.

Good way to level up your chess game. I like how it gives feedback after every move and tells you how it was. Would be awesome if it also had an ai that breaks down why the move was good or bad, so you really understand it for the future. Feels like that would help lock in the lessons way faster.
