This is the best platform I have used with regards to AI and chatbots. I have been authoring a book using the Secret Desires AI, for several months now. They have several AI model's to choose from, each offering its own unique advantages. If you can imagine it, you can experience it through the interactive magic of the Secret Desires AI textual roleplay, texting, and incredible image generation that in my opinion is superior to other platforms. Their friendly staff are ever present on the Secret Desires Discord site, and advice / help is always available. Soulkyn has been the best AI service I've used. I've been a premium user for a year now and the dev team (of 1 person!) and CEO have continued to improve the site and remain active in the community and discord. They continually update the chat model for improved user experience, and despite the occasional set back and need to roll back to an earlier model, the chat quality continues to improve. I personally appreciate that they want the user experience to improve. There are no copyrighted characters allowed, so the site only has original characters instead of a flood of the same anime girl. I'll continue supporting Soulkyn as it's only improved since I've started using it.

The free tier only allows 10 messages before locking you out, and the calling function is hidden behind a hefty $35 per month subscription. Those restrictions make the experience feel frustrating and overpriced. If BoyfriendGPT wants to win users over, it needs to ease up on the paywalls, offer a real free plan with more breathing room, and rework its pricing to something reasonable. Compared with Character AI, which delivers long-term conversations and immersion without these walls, BoyfriendGPT just doesn’t stack up.

From the start, you’re forced to log in, only to find that the free plan isn’t clearly explained, and other plan prices aren’t even listed. That lack of transparency already sets the wrong tone. Once in, the shortcomings stack up quickly. There’s no proper memory in chat, no calling function, and not even a voice reading option to bring conversations to life. The credit-based system caps you at just 20 messages instead of offering unlimited use, which feels restrictive. Even basic features are missing — no dark mode, no spelling correction, and no clear way to separate actions from dialogue in chat. The result is a clunky, shallow experience. Against Character AI, Dittin doesn’t stand a chance. Where Character AI delivers immersion, clarity, and flexibility, Dittin struggles with the basics. To move forward, it needs stronger memory, proper feature development, and a more transparent pricing model. Right now, it’s not ready to compete.

My initial observations: - Images are alright but still kind of fake looking - The AIs immediately concede to anything you say, there's no real sense of depth or personality. - Doesn't re-focus the input box after sending a chat (on Firefox) - The AI I talked to asked if I wanted to hear her voice, to which I said yes, then she said "Sorry I don't do voice or video here." lol. Why did you ask me then? -
