For some problems, it does a good job of calculations and video explanation. However, for some, the drawings are not correct, and it left out a part of the calculation in the video (although it does calculate correctly at least). This would be confusing. An example was where I asked it to calculate the area of a circle inside of a right-angle triangle. It drew the circle outside of the triangle, and then in the calculation, it did not have the square root of a^2 b^2 to find c, but at least did that. If the tool is to be effective, it needs to be clear and accurate in order to not create further misconceptions.

Smartexam is disappointing compared to other quiz tools. The paid version is more expensive than competitors but lacks key features. I don't like that it did not explain how it is answering the question but it did answer it, after providing other insight, which was unnecessary (to me) to answer the question. That said, it is potentially insightful to people who may not be familiar with the apostoles. So, if the intent is to capture proactively possible background criteria, then it did a good job by adding it.
