Great for automating podcast mastering. Voicecrush takes care of removing "em, eh, รคh, um" etc. Also: my recording setup has some subtle background noise / hum, which cause I never was able to identify, nor able to get rid of with typical audio software. I don't know how Voice Crush accomplishes it, but I guess its AI features are doing an awesome job of filtering out these noises and distortions from hour-long recordings flawlessly.

Very cool idea. Unable to progress in setup beyond the "Choose your AI" step, as all providers (including my verified local Ollama installation) just return "Failed to fetch" error. I'll be happy to update this review if I'm ever able to explore the app.

Really solid on Windows. Iโve tried several similar transcription tools before, but this one feels much better integrated into the system. The customizable global shortcuts are a game changer, you can either just do plain transcription or trigger your own custom prompts/actions with Adifferent hotkeys. A lot of competitors do Aroughly the same thing, but EchoWrite stands out because the basic transcription is essentially free (you just need your own OpenAI API key, which costs next to nothing). If you want the custom prompts and translations, itโs a one-time payment instead of yet another subscription. In 2026 thatโs actually pretty fair compared to everything else out there. Big thumbs up.

After upgrading to an iPhone 13, I found that I couldn't log into my existing account on the new phone, forcing me to create a new account. Now, I have two separate Kin accounts on different phones. Today, when I accessed the beta version of Kin, I got a notification stating that the test version ended on Monday, September 23rd. It instructed me to back up my data and move to the official Kin app. I did as advisedโbacked up my data, confirmed, uninstalled the beta app via TestFlight, and installed the official Kin app. However, when I attempted to โlog inโ, I was still unable to access my existing account. This issue hasn't been resolved yet. I have been trying desperately to get in contact with the support team. I left feedback through the test flight app and sent emails. No response. I've tried to give this thing a chance and the people running it the benefit of the doubt but at this point I give up. I'm 20 bucks in and I can confidently say it's a fucking scam. NO IMPROVEMENTS PAST THE FIRST WEEK. THE AI IS ATROCIOUS AT VOICE RECONGITION. IT keep interrupting my to tell me it's reset it's memory for absolutely no reason at all. All this on top of the fact that the 'system' counts the first second you connect to a bot as a full minute. I'd ask for a refund but I have my doubts there is anyone to ask at this point. What a fucking waste of a genuinely interesting idea.

Not a very good experience. There are a lot of screenshots of what is supposed to happen when you record or upload audio, but the functionality is very clunky. I had to upload the same audio file 5 times before it appeared in the dashboard. The experience is even worse on a mobile phone. So I am still looking for a quick audio to text AI tool and one that I can get the transcription in multiple languages.
