Benedikt Scheungraber🛠️ 1 tool 🙏 40 karmaAug 20, 2025@Remy - Newsletter summarizerI built Remy to solve a problem I face every day: Newsletter overload 📬 Remy is your personal AI assistant that summarizes all your newsletters into a single digest email. Go from a cluttered inbox to a clear, concise briefing in one go. -
Great tool. It makes it easier to have proactive agents on the web that are providing you with relevant research updates. Here's a video I made on it https://youtu.be/RFxcC_ktOtM -

Gistr has been a game changer for processing long YouTube videos and PDFs - saves hours and actually helps you retain what you consume. -

-
This started from a small frustration that wouldn't go away: I'd open 12 tabs for "research," skim none of them properly, and close my laptop feeling more behind than when I started. The web rewards reading speed, not reading depth — and I wanted a tool that flipped that. So I built GetTheGists: a Chrome extension that gives you the gist of any page in 3 seconds, then lets you ask follow-up questions like you would a smart friend who already read it. A few things we went out of our way to get right: - Cognitive hierarchy, not walls of text. Every summary is structured as Gist → Why It Matters → Key Takeaways → Implications. Compression before precision. - Ask, don't just read. Hit the page with follow-ups, get answers grounded in the content. - 20 languages, full dark mode, and a resizable side panel that actually respects your screen. What surprised me building this: the hardest part wasn't the AI — it was deciding what not to show. Every iteration was about removing a section, not adding one. It's free to try (Premium and Pro tiers if you want higher limits). I'd love your honest feedback — especially on the summary format and where it falls short on your favorite kind of page. I'll be in the comments all day. Thank you for taking a look 🙏 -

Turn notes into perfect infographics from 500+ designs.Open
Hi TAAFT! I'm Henry, the founder of CartoMind. CartoMind offers a fully automated AI workflow to help you quickly organize text content and generate the perfect infographics to match. 【Why did I build this?】 When creating infographics with AI today, users are often forced to choose between two extremes. You either use generic AI image SaaS tools that trap you in complex prompt engineering and steep design learning curves with zero knowledge management, or you use products like NotebookLM. While they are fantastic for knowledge management, their infographic generation is just an afterthought, lacking design freedom and rich templates. 【Here is where CartoMind stands out:】 1. Lightweight knowledge & note management: We support uploading multiple file formats and automatically parsing text, allowing you to freely select the exact knowledge snippets you want to visualize. 2. Fully automated workflow: Based on your selected content, our AI automatically distills the key text elements and instantly matches you with the ideal infographic design from over 500 professional combinations. 3. Massive template library: A rich selection of infographic templates offering a true what-you-see-is-what-you-get experience. 【Who is using it?】 Marketers, educators, social media creators... In fact, anyone who needs to make their domain knowledge "visible" and loves to share it will find it incredibly useful. 【I can't wait for you all to try it out!】 -

I have kept a free tier so everyone can still use SnapSummary. After working full time to build it and running it at a loss, I had to switch to freemium to keep it going and continue improving. :)

It’s more than just a presentation maker, it also helps organize information.A great alternative to PowerPoint or Google Slides when you need something fast and professional. It has become part of my daily workflow at the office.

very useful AI tool for those who need to work with pdf docs. Thnak you very to the team for offering it free
-
Really simple approach - you select the part of the page you want the summary to be inserted, add a question to the article or it just sticks to the prompt you defined (even the standard prompt is a fun inspiration - never thought about letting the AI read an article from the angle of my professional background or let it build fun analogies for even the darkest articles). I use it to send articles from website directly to my Kindle - so you can basically read AI summarized articles on Kindle. Of course it could be extended but with the basic features it does the job.

Transcribe audio and video in 100+ languages effortlesslyOpenFast - probably the fastest tool I've tried for transcribing from an uploaded MP3. Accuracy was good. My samples was a ~30 min university lecture recorded alone (recorded with a mic and laptop, not in a lecture hall). Only complaint is that the logical sectioning or paragraphing isn't great. (It's hard to do with these stream-of-consciousness type lectures, but some tools do a great job.) If I didn't need the logical breaks, I'd likely come back to this tool solely for the speed and accuracy. Great job!

This was a HUGE let down. I wanted this to work more than anybody! I've been searching for exactly this for months and so far it's been fruitless.. When I stumbled across this and it did everything that I needed it to do, it would give you the key points it would make it more comprehensive it would give you as much detail as you wanted and it had a free seven day trial and it was unlimited with no credit system (as long as you purchased the plan). It was like I had created it because it is exactly what I was looking for, after I signed up I started to do my happy dance and then I uploaded a file so I could get the show on the road..... and nothing.... it kept trying to upload and it absolutely would not give me any summary or anything just kept loading and loading and loading.... I could view the file and the file would show up after a while but there would still be no summaries so in essence the program is broken which broke my freaking heart. if this starts working again somebody please reply to this comment and let me know I really have faith in this program and I really wanna use it. I don't want to do this but I have to give it 2 stars for the time being....

I was able to get a summary for a half hour video in just under 2 minutes. An hour long video took 5 minutes. Saved me a phenomenal amount of time having to watch videos for courses!
-
It seems to be working fine right now. Maybe try again and double check if you’re using the book’s original or most recognized title. That might make a difference.
-
I couldn't use it because it wouldn't let me upload a PDF file, so I can't really review it properly. This tool would work best with audio files. For example, if your teacher gave you an assignment in a PDF file, you wouldn't be able to use it. Until it enables that feature, it's not very useful for students. However, it is useful if you're incorporating audio.
-
Well, it is not that good as expected It only transcribes the outline of the video. Don't expect the notes from the website I think the paid versions work better than this and it just gives you the outline. That's it
