The web rewards reading speed, not reading depth — and I wanted a tool that flipped that. So I built GetTheGists: a Chrome extension that gives you the gist of any page in 3 seconds, then lets you ask follow-up questions like you would a smart friend who already read it. A few things we went out of our way to get right: - Cognitive hierarchy, not walls of text. Every summary is structured as Gist → Why It Matters → Key Takeaways → Implications. Compression before precision. - Ask, don't just read. Hit the page with follow-ups, get answers grounded in the content. - 20 languages, full dark mode, and a resizable side panel that actually respects your screen. What surprised me building this: the hardest part wasn't the AI — it was deciding what not to show. Every iteration was about removing a section, not adding one. I'm currently testing on iOS and I so very strongly wish I had a web version or Android version as well so that I can use it across all my platforms. Hands down my fav app for news on any device currently.

From my experience, this can only assist by pulling information from websites of competitors. If you're in an industry that doesn't provide pricing online, this will not work for you.

Sharly AI is a total lifesaver at work! When I'm dealing with those super-long documents or reports, Sharly steps up and makes things way more manageable. It's also a big help for my studies, it kicks in to make studying way easier.

Pros : Beautiful interface! Easy to use. Free AI image to save with your dream. Paid version is super cool. You get all sorts of cool stuff. I want to so bad but the con..it's very expensive.

After not even ONE try, it asks for Pro. No success, just imo developer hyper-greed. Avoid!

Opentried it and skimmed a bunch of entries on dreams, animals and numbers. The write-ups tie symbols to headspace in a way that actually gets you thinking, a little horoscope-y at times but I still pulled a few solid lines for my journal -
Mindgrasp was the best upgrade from using Chat GPT for school cuz I can upload anything I want and get help from the AI and it’s really detailed notes and answers. It’s cheap too I only pay 9.99 per month
